ASAHIYAMA ART was founded in 1959 with the aim of contributing to the development of domestic art and culture, developed as an art salon where cultural people and celebrities from various fields gather and enjoy ceramics. Now, we are developing activities as an international art group that artists in diverse fields work on expressions through interdisciplinary approaches.

What would you tell to a person about your art so he would buy it? What is remarkable about your artwork?

Our Arts are “ZEN oriented ARTS”. Based in Kamakura, one of the historic cities in Japan, ASAHIYAMA ART takes inspirations from ideas of ZEN. Dropping illusions and seeing things without distortions, the group creates art pieces portraying human growth, distress, and greeds. Recently We have focused on the essence of strength and kindness that living things have. We hope that with “ZEN oriented ARTS”, you will feel calm and energy.

How would you describe yourself? And your artwork?

We are a transparent entity that can give human strength and kindness through art, and our work is the "ZEN oriented ARTS" that faces the essence of the whole universe.

What is your definition of art?

We define that Art is a valuable being that can give people strength and kindness.

Where do you see your art going in ten years?

We will focus on the human sapiens at a time when it is not so far and excitingly express the love and kindness that sapiens brings.

Can you tell us what you have going on right now?

We are proud to be able to work as an art group that has evolved after 60 years of history at the beginning of a new era, and we are very excited about our unknown creative activities.

Would love to exhibit my work in ...

This year, ASAHIYAMA ART celebrate its 60th anniversary, so now on we love to exhibit in all over the world.

We are very happy to exhibit in Amsterdam in our 60th com-memorable year for the first time in abroad.
