Presenting a diverse line-up of around 40 galleries from the Netherlands and around the world, across three concepts: Contemporary, Modern, and the devoted of Urban & Graffiti arts in two programmes; CONTEMPORARY PROGRAMME: exhibition dedicated to contemporary art galleries established for at least two years. And ARTSPACE PROGRAMME: curated section featuring international emergent and established artists.
"This is the first time that Amsterdam hosts an Art Fair of this kind..." says Curator Joelle Dinnage. "It is not only focused on the Modern and Contemporary art, but we like to bring attention to the Urban Art, Graffiti and Street Art." She continues... "At the Tokyo International Art Fair we managed to succeed in this concept. Galleries that have the works on show by Banksy, Mr Brainwash, Shane Bowden, and many other big names. It makes the vibe of the art fair really dynamic, and is much more accessible to enchant the aspiring collector."
Curator Natal Vallve adds "The Amsterdam Int'l Art Fair also has live performance art by Henk Veen who is one of Amsterdam's famous artists and he is also one of the guest judges of the AIAF prize for "Best Artist". Henk will be judging the awards together with a panel of gallery owners, curators, art dealers, and award-winning artists such as famous Dutch Sculptor Ruurd Hallema, and Loes van Delft who's work is also very urban. Loes recently exhibited alongside Banksy, Ashwan, Blek Le Rat, Ciro Schu, Ryca, and many others at the 3 Punts Galeria in Barcelona."
Access to the fair is free on Saturday 29th August from 11.00 till 17.00pm with the AIAF Awards at 16.00pm. On Friday 28th August 2015 is the Private View and Champagne Reception for invitees or €10 Euro a ticket, and also gives access to the Network after-party.
